Luke Castello: The Rise of Circe

When magic began to dwindle on Earth, the goddess of magic Hecate created Matic as a land where magical creatures could still thrive. She shepherded many beings over into her new world and hid Matic from any who should not be there. A curse is placed on all who enter Matic. Speaking of Matic to outsiders causes all knowledge of that world to be wiped from the offender’s memories.

Many hundreds of years later, Audrey, one of Hecate’s daughters, answered a summons to help Hecate fight off some traitors in her land. While that mission was successful, the root of the rebellion seems to go far deeper than what was previously thought. Another goddess of magic, the enchantress Circe, has her sights set on Matic, and civil war looms ever closer.

Still, Hecate has contingencies in place to fend off threats. Three magical anchors hold Hecate’s power over Matic. As long as those stand, no one can challenge Hecate’s authority. With allies old and new, Audrey will attempt to help the guardians of the anchors hold their ground against Circe’s machinations.
